1995 Olympics Commemorative Coins
The 1995 Olympic Commemorative Coins were issued for Centennial Olympic Games held in Atlanta, Georgia. The program was the extremely ambitious with 16 different coins issued over the course of two years.The coins issued in 1995 included two half dollars featuring basketball and baseball; four silver dollars featuring gymnastics, paralympics, track and field, and cycling; and two $5 gold coins featuring torch runner and stadium.
The coins all had rather high maximum authorized mintages in line with the ambitious goals of the program, but final mintages were extremely low, creating some modern rarities.
